Energy 101

☯ There are many good systems or “modalities” of energy healing being practiced today, and several have an impressive record of successes. It is NOT my intention to add yet another choice to the Babel of modalities.

We have a Babel of healers

☯ Remember the Tower of Babel?

☯ In this Bible story, the “gods,” or rather inhabitants of the heavenly realm, are threatened by human ambition. To stop them (us) from building a tower to heaven, the angels make it impossible for us to understand each other. This is a story about the origin of divergent human languages and cultural forms.

☯ It is also a parable that can illuminate what is happening now in the realm of energy and alternative healing. We want to develop and teach vibrational skills. Many of us believe that even a school child can learn these skills. But schools and parents won’t take energy work seriously so long as we are stuck on minor differences of style and dialect.

☯ At this moment — this point in the growth of human vibrational systems and capacities — we are at Babel. The solution is not to hunker down with those who only speak our favourite language. Our planet is too small for that!

☯ Instead of proliferating new languages and modalities, can we learn to understand one another’s dialects, to translate and mediate among modalities?
